“Tricks & Tips” – Using Modern Materials Apr 2024
Live Attendance Event (not online). Kelvin Lymer, and Mark Caldwell will discuss and demonstrate a range of tricks, tips and techniques employed when utilizing modern materials in farriery. The “WHAT, WHY, WHEN, HOW, AND WILL IT WORK” Will be of particular benefit to those unfamiliar with some of the processes as well as students seeking higher qualifications.
Amongst the techniques explored will be alternative crack fixation techniques, glue on shoe adaptation, Determining the extent and depth of dorsal wall resections, Hoof stabilization techniques using everyday common fixings, the correct use of solar impression and support materials and understanding shore ratings. This is a hands-on clinic so bring your toolbox if you want to have a go at anything specific.
