SUMMARY:FUNCTIONAL ANATOMY A FARRIERY CONCEPT
DESCRIPTION:Description. \nThrough the medium of painted anatomy on the live horse our own Paul Conroy BSc (Hons) and Neil Madden FWCF deliver a comprehensive review of the equine musculoskeletal system. \nThis is a light bulb presentation and a must view for all farriery and hoof care students and professionals. \nBy bringing two-dimensional imagery into a three-dimensional arena this excellent recorded event\, with two highly renowned farriers\, will help you have a deeper understanding of the functional anatomy of the horse’s limb. \nCourse delivery -Online Ticket: A recorded broadcast event for those interested in relating external points of the horse to its internal musculoskeletal structures as they pertain to farriery and without the need for dissection as a method of demonstration. \nCourse content –\nThe event will support your knowledge gained from textbooks\, transporting into a practical and tangible understanding of how structures and the mechanics work and how this can impact your decisions made in everyday farriery. \nLearning of anatomy makes so much more sense when you can locate individual structures of the equine limb and locomotor system In-Vivo gives a unique insight into how they work. You will witness how important anatomical structures are transposed onto the live horse through the medium of paint. Once exposed watch how the internal structures work in relation to the horses’ dynamic movements by observation and assessment. \nAttendees will also receive a free download of the event recording + Access to free download of upto 6 still images from the presentation for private non commercial use. \n

SUMMARY:Farriery - A multi practitioner approach to farriery treatment protocols
DESCRIPTION:Description. \nFollowing on from our recent functional anatomy webinar where we explored the connectivity between foot and skeletal and muscular structure it is clear that the hoof and the whole horse are inextricably linked\, they effect and are affected by each other. \nIn this interactive webinar Dr. Mark Caldwell PhD FWCF discusses the hoof and its whole horse connectivity with manipulative therapy expert Ve-Ma-Therapy Dr Martina Neidhart. This presentation will complement the discussion on the effect that hoof care can have on athletic performance. The connection between the structural soundness of the hoof and the integrity of the rest of the body of the horse\, is undeniable. \nOur guest speaker Martina Neidhart\, Dr. med. vet. Veterinary Consultant runs her own succesful Veterinary Manual therapy practice will explore the connections between farriery protocols\, posture\, lameness and pathologies of the equine musculoskeletal system. \nWe are excited to welcome Martina Neidhart to a live interview\, to discuss the connection between the hoof and the body\, and how we can influence these connections and relationships. Growing up with dogs and around horses in Switzerland\, Martina gained experience in rehabilitation and manual therapy in various clinics and institutions in Switzerland and abroad (Europe\, North America\, Australia) during her studies as a veterinarian in Bern/CH and Budapest/HU – and even more intensively afterwards. \nThe more she learned about it\, the more fascinated she became by applied neurology and biomechanics and their applications with 4-legged patients. Martina believes biomechanics are the basis of all movement and that as such any deviation from the ideal is later associated with pathologies. Based on her extensive experience Martina is a passionate advocate that prevention is the best cure! \nThis event qualifies for CPD \nAll attendees will recieve a download link to the recorded event
